With the closure of the partial eShops in most south and central american countries, this means people in those countries can't get Haxchi. I worry that within the next few years, all eShops will close. Plus, im sure that at the end, theyll put out a system update to get rid of the Web Browser. Either that or the browser will be discontinued otherwise. This will mean that the web exploit will be impossible. So unsigned code (like Launchers and Forwarders) will be useless unless you already have Haxchi. ...

... We're gonna have to find a game disc exploit.

This closed eshops were limited eshops. No regular eshops. I think, the same will not happen with the normal eshops because the switch and wii u uses the same infrastructure afaik (correct me if i'm wrong).

I think that's wrong. I know the Wii U and 3DS use the same infrastructure for their eshops, but I believe the Switch version is more optimized. Fairly certain that within the next few years, we should expect to see the complete (official) closure of online services for Wii U and 3DS.

So if our Wii Us die we would lose our games and the DS game if it closed. Unless it stayed open just to let you redownload stuff that you already bought.

This is why I am not a big fan of digital. If I buy a game I may want to play it 10 years from now and I should have that right.
