TF2 strategies?

I'm fairly new to TF2 (fairly new as in, I played for the first time on Wednesday)so I don't really have much of an idea about how the game is. I clocked 6 hours so far.

But I like to go as a sniper on payload- well, I like to go as a sniper on every game mode but it just doesn't work in all the cases. And well, I try to headshoot, I don't really wait till the scope juice damage thingy is at 100%
I play as a heavy, a pyro, a demo or a soldier on control points and on king of the hill I always go as a heavy.

Default loadouts+birthday stuff. I just have this so yeah.
One thing I noticed being the newb I am is that everyone sucks. A lot. They are either worse than I am or equally bad, and I'm pretty bad.
I guess it's because since it became f2p there's a lot of new people playing.

Yeah there's been an inflow of scrubs. Just like when mac people were allowed out of their gameless cage to play a few valve games.

Earbuds pretty much equaled "I suck at TF2, come get a dozen free kills from me."
