    how ccome when i try to text a number, say for example 242242 for chacha (it answers your questions for you) it says invalid number?

    Possibly it requires the country code (e.g. +44 for britain)

    Cha Cha doesnt work on it thats why.

    I suspect most/all free texting solutions won't work with those short codes. I know Google Voice doesn't, and part of it is because many of those short codes would normally add some money amount to your bill, so they're treated special vs other text messages.

    Kind of a shame, since I wanted to experiment with sending Twitter messages to my Google Voice number but it failed.
