Hacking Temporarily jailbreak PS3 and go back without formatting?

I'm going to try and keep this short and simple.

I would like to jailbreak my fat PS3 temporarely to verify the temps. Afterwards, I wan tot go back to stock, but I don't have any external drive big enough to do a backup.

Is there a way to jailbreak my PS3, check the temps, and then go back to stock without formatting the drive and be safe from getting caught?

I realize that most people would rather just install and keep CFW, but I want to maintain being able to connect to the SEN/PSN.

Sony doesn't care about ps3 anymore, you can keep being jailbroken

You can also try to use HEN, iirc it disables itself after a reboot, as opposed to installing a CFW
