I hate double posting, Mad Bob, but your thread has re-surfaced and it appears that there is a third moderator that I had some how missed until the other day, one Spen83.

Your first post in that thread about this card is entirely gone with a message stating that it was edited by the above named moderator, so he is likely the one to have banned you, and not Sorak05 who has actually turned out to be pretty nice other than that first PM, along with Shane the only other mod that I am aware of on the teamcyclops forum. Seems like Spen83 is the ... ah ... cranky mod on the official site.

Anyways, I see that Supercard has a spiffy new kernel for their SDHC card (not sure if it supports their old one too) that looks to have just about all the features that the Evo was supposed to have and still doesn't. If I were teamcyclops I'd be beyond afraid ATM, especially with that Australian e-tailers comments as the combination of the Supercard kernel, e-tailer disillusionment, and apparent end user disillusionment is entirely disastrous.

(Still waiting for my Evo to show up. If it make it tomorrow, that will be 7 business day, so no more overseas ordering for me, ever.)

Spen83 is an old user and he becomes an excellent mod the same day as Shane. Sorak05 is haunting the forums for long and was an "unofficial mod" in some ways before.

Once upon a time the TC site was a quiet place with few but good threads than some noobs, idiots and spammers came and start creating useless threads for complaining about delay and they start spamming with others products names. The same people complain about lack of information ... sometimes.

At the end the Mods finally started to clean some of the noise

This forum is no place to discuss where to buy rival products it's disrespectful.

TC has the decency to set up a forum for discussing their product, their firmware and to provide support.
So what do people do? Can't be bothered looking for the real deal so they start banging on about an R4.

Nevermind the sheepish "please don't block me" and the calm down its only a question bit. It's not only a question it's an act of war.

Nobody minds feature comparisons but actually discussing how and where to get hold of rival products? That's an insult.

Not sure if its them showing fear. Its more as a warning to not advertise other chips in their forums. Its like going into another restaurant and telling the people eating there to go across the street and eat at another restaurant. Your just asking for trouble.

No your analogy is poor, it is more like me going into a restaurant and asking for beef, and being told the meal will be 5 minutes, two hours later (and after repeated promises) I still haven't got my meal, so I call the waiter over and suggest that; if they cannot provide me with what I have ordered, that I may be as well eating over the road where they deliver what they say they can, the waiter then gets stroppy and ejects me from the premises saying "how dare I suggest I should eat somewhere else, simply because they cannot give me what I have ordered (and was given lots of excuses about) and never mind that I have been waiting for hour after hour, that I should be grateful that they even let me into their restaurant, but if I wait here for another few days the food may actually turn up!"

None of you can see the post I made on TC Forums, and I am STILL waiting for them to provide my CycloDS, which if I am really lucky may even work when I get it

I have been posting on GBATemp for the past 5 years (and the older forums before that) this is the first ban I have ever had anywhere, on any forum ... err ... apart from Lik-Sang where they had a bit of trouble with me after a crap delivery ... but we'll *ahem* move rapidly over that one

*sigh* all I want is my frigging Black CycloDS that I ordered sometime during the paleolithic

is that too much to ask for? it is a small black plastic shell that is causing all this trouble! probably costing about 3p which wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't decided to pay a premium for what was supposed to be (I may be able to let you know one day) the best cart around, with fantastic support (definite nope to that one)

On a positive note the R4 I bought as a stop-gap while the CycloDS came, is fantastic and I am having lots of fun with it, and no problems at all, in fact I have advised 6 others to buy the R4 which is 6 lost sales to TC (they should care, they really should).

If it weren't for the fact I usually buy more than one type of flash cart I wouldn't even bother waiting.

@enigmaindex I am not considering cancelling because they banned me, I am considering it because they cannot actually provide me with what I ordered, so when I had a terrible-two's paddy about it (what can I say I was having a bad day)

they banned me, no warning ... nothing.

Which makes me think, what if I get it and it is crap quality or doesn't work? dare I complain? they could simply ban me again .... hmmmm ... thinking about that deeper, I wonder how many peoples voices don't get heard because of over zealous mods?

Sorry to hear your CycloDS was DOA, looks like these guys need to get a bit of training in the concept of quality control.

I have been using flash carts since the GB Mono and have an original Bung Doctor GB 4Mbit cart which still works.

In fact the only cart I have ever had die was a FlashAdvance Linker I replaced the battery on and over heated it during soldering

I got my CycloDS Evo 3 days after ordering... may be white but my DS is gold and most of the time I play I'm not looking at the back of my DS. It works great on all advertised features, didn't have to send mine back. It's been cookin homebrew and my dumps since I plugged in my 4 gb sandisk micro SD ($17 on black friday xD). Most of the time the issue people have with their orders is the fault of the distributor. That's why I usually shop on modchipcentral or kickgaming. Both have been very responsive and sometimes earlier than they let on. Sry to hear about ur woes.

Hi Jioji or should I call you TeamCyclops? don't you just love it when people do the opposite of the norm, IE. create an account to deliver their very first post praising something that others are slagging off.

The reason the carts were late (and I have not received mine ordered on October 6th yet) is because of TC's piss poor production control, this i the same reason they have delivered a 7% failure rate, this figure came from one of the suppliers.

You were very lucky to get yours fast and working (so far) the carts do not always fails DOA but quite often die after a few months, good luck with that.

When I purchase a car or any product I base some of my choice on colour, I wouldn't want to buy a black car to be told here you can have a while one sooner, so please understand it is my choice to buy Black because that is what I want, it is TC's choice to keep lying to me and all the suppliers about delivery dates.

Yeah, the cart's great when it actually works. My problem is that they've got WAY more defective units being shipped to consumers than they should have, AND that they really don't seem to be all that concerned about it...

Well, it's bad for business if a potential customer goes on their website and all they see is 'high defect rate' - while it's only around 10% (which is still abnormally high, but the cart itself is one of the best I've ever used). As long as they keep releasing FW updates, I will be satisfied.

Hiding abnormally high defect rates to retain customers is disingenuous at best, if not downright unethical, IMO.
