I did after my modchip was not working
Broken 2 Solder pins while taking out
So it will be hard to install modchip now, now i really have to let somebody do it directly on the Chip but i don't know anybody doing it with Cyclowiz close to my location

And eh, any idea if I take out my chip and replace it with WiiKey, will the 001 error stay or is it permanent?

001 error is tied specifically with the modchip - the error is not tied to your Wii. So you can put in modchips and pull them out weekly if your so inclined.

If you put in a Wiikey and upgrade to 1.9g you will not see the 001 error on SMG.

edit: spelling
