I updated. Everything still works the same. All games work the same. eShop works fine. I updated my Mii Plaza for the first time, so even that works. No worries.

I guess, but if they were trying to stop it from working, they failed miserably. EmuNAND still works 100% fine with the eShop.

I don't think Nintendo cares enough about blocking flash carts that only work on a tiny fraction of consoles out there to actively invest resources into their software team to add more security and stuff, it's already blocked and done with. It won't play newer games without new keys, emunand or no emunand, doesn't matter.

They still have the NDS flashcarts which are always being updated.

The update actually bricked my 3ds.
didnt run out of power, didnt close it or anything.
when it updated i pressed (A) - it restarted as it said.
Menu come back frozen and wont work anymore.

Wow, i updated without knowing it was a newer firmware version only to get that NNID working to get the free game for EU, but lol, i think i haven't seen this just for 5/10 minutes...

Thank god it's just minor update...

Well, if you're under warrenty still, send it back to Nintendo. Random glitches happen occasionally.

Do you use any flashcards? Some people are reporting bricks on original 3DS.

why do people want to update to the latest firmware like people have said if its not broke don't fix it cause you might just break it instead

So you can use the eShop, duh. How else are people supposed to buy games?
