A countdown clock on developer Otherside Entertainment's website set to reveal System Shock 3 has gone and done so ahead of time.

The timer is set for 5 days from now, at which point it will unveil a sequel to Looking Glass Studios' cyberpunk shooter series.
This is good news for fans of the franchise, of which the last entry made it to PC back in 1999. Otherside is made up of several members of the defunct Looking Glass team.

Late to the party, but I'm excited, albeit a little skeptical.

There are alot of mods that update the graphics (slightly) for those that have never tried the game, and are hesitant because of that. I loved playing it as a kid. It's def. in my top 10 of all time favorites.

And i might be wrong, but i think if you get it through steam it seems that it already has the updated texture pack.
But i could be wrong. Which is true most of the time.

Wonder how much soul of the old series this will retain, I'm interested though.
SS2 is one of the best story-driven horror games on the PC, and more of them is always good.
It's definitely gotta have SHODAN though.
