I'm sure I saw on here somewhere that TX themselves have confirmed the brick code and that it would later be removed because of the outcry.

Thread is misleading, doesn't provide any new or valuable information to anyone, is uninformed about TX's response to the brick code, and more importantly he's under our bed stealing our data. I say close this thread and ban this user.

If you read the tweet in the comments he states him self that it can be triggered by normal use. That's not a brickcode.
It is, it is intentionally put there and the only way to restore that is to completely delete the nand and use a backup. If it is intentionally it is a brick code and in the write up ''http://hexkyz.blogspot.com/2018/06/chill-shills.html'' it is explained how it works

And here I thought the OP was acting as a shameless plug for Team SX, whew, dodged that bullet. :creep:
Oh wait.
Edit: At least with Atmosphere, I can brick my Switch for free.
It just seems like your average, everyday, forum Astroturfing. Assuming I'm wrong and the OP really is just a misinformed stubborn person, hopefully they can understand our arguments and make the logical conclusion.

Not even, lol. It locks it with a password. You can't just restore a NAND backup. That's not a glitch--that's purposeful.

I wouldn't count on it, people are gonna defend this BS ad infinitum.

It's also a dick move, even if they are in their "rights" to do it. Not gonna buy their shit anytime soon.

That just proves there's a risk that a flaw in the code could (though extremely slim) trigger the brick code and brick the system despite being a legit product. That doesn't disprove the brick code, in fact it just validates it even more.
Also more information

There one shady pic off a discord and no public statement from tx on there site as of yet
They aren't going to publicly state that they have a brick code as part of their product. Gateway never admitted to the brick code, despite there being a brick code in Gateway.

As far as I'm concerned I saw this same OP running propaganda for SX OS all over the places. I meant all his post I saw is all Atmosphere vs SX OS with him siding with SX OS.

Sure one can have different opinion, but it's fishy if one only posts about one thing and bring up that topic everywhere.

Well at least now it has its own thread, hopefully OP can stay put in one place spreading the gospel instead of...

I'm gonna make a bold sweeping generalization and maybe someone can agree with me.
Ever notice how the people that tend to astroturf and otherwise make useless spam posts (commonly with swear words and insults sprinkled in) tend to have a picture of their IRL self as their image? Now, I'm not saying that having your likeness as your image is innately a bad thing--just a trend I've noticed. I think this is because if there is an image of themselves (or an otherwise "real" person) emphatetical tendencies will kick in and support their argument, instead of it seeming like a faceless post by an Anon or corporation.

Kind of went on a tangent there, but it's something I've noticed.

I'm rather incline to the open source side of things I've just given my 2 cents in about my opinion of a paid solution that's out. Atmosphere as I've stated before will in the future be a more reliable solution instead of tx SX OS. But there many coming to this forum with little to none exp or knowledge of the current offerings and just want a plug and play solution to there needs.
If by informing them of there option it seems I'm bias that's your opinion to have but I'll rather let the script kiddies just get the easy solution then let them try to run shit they don't know how to run and end up bricking/damaging there consoles and flooding the forum with help post.

This is the exact problem--you're presenting your opinion as facts. That's the OP's point. You want to present it as facts, when the truth is that they're really your opinions.

What's funny is that I was going to buy the SX Pro for easy Atmosphere launching, but now I'm not going to because of this.

Yeah, I thought about it, but no thank you. Just a bunch of scriptkiddies who get asshurt over the fact that a pirating device is getting pirated. Two wrongs don't make a right.
