Hey,

I've copied everything from the old SD card (16GB) to a new one (32GB) albeit both from SanDisc. The issue occurs when booted into CFW and it won't read any of the game disks even though the files are identical to the old card, peculiar. Anyone had this issue? What did you do to resolve it.

Kind regards

Used a mac? Put the SD in a Windows pc go to properties and then advanced i think and uncheck arcvhies.. or do it separately on folders/files. Even if not used in on OSX try this solution

Try reformatting the new card first in your pc and then in your switch

It didn't work. When I go into album the games are white. They have the full filename. I am truly mezmerised.

Kind regards

Surely it can't be the card right? I am able to transfer the backups without a problem.. maybe the card corrupts them. Very strange.

Sounds like it's a card issue. Personally I've had a bad track record when it comes to SD cards, over the years it seems to average 50/50 on faulty/working. I'm not talking about fake cards either, just have bad luck with bad sectors. Some devices are pickier than others when it comes to bad sectors.

Looks like it. Just tried it again after a factory reset, 16gig works whereas the 32gig extreme doesn't. bummer. Oh well, thanks for the insigt guys!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think every time someone runs into white squares in the album, its a bad SD card. Run your SD card with h2testw just to check.
I've even had a 128gb Sandisk shipped and sold by Amazon.com turn out to be a fake card, their stock can get mixed with 3rd party fake stock. I will only buy SD cards and USB drives in an actual store now, or online if I'm in a pinch but then run it through its paces with that app you linked. Fake cards are such a big problem as the first 16-32GB of a large card will work, ok I copied a few games over and it worked, great! Copy more games over later and go over the cards real capacity and it starts writing over itself and everything gets corrupted.

Most likely a SD Card problem. It could be corrupting files or just overall not reading them properly. It's really not hard at all to find fault SD Card or even fake ones. Have you checked if any of the files in your SD Card are corrupted? Inside folders or anything? These are very likely to happen.

I believe it got corrupted as when I tried to format it again in Windows the whole thing just froze. Has to be a fake card or just defect.

I had to use my os tx code again to reactivate after putting in a 400gb card

I've got a 200GB coming tomorrow. I had a ton of DLC and eshop games before I used SX OS. Will they just copy over with the new card?

You should be able to copy over your license.dat file from the old card to your 400 GB card and not have to reactivate.
