"libdrc is a library for application developers who want to use the capabilities of the Wii U GamePad in their software. It also provides the ability to simulate a Wii U GamePad to communicate with a Wii U."

Uh, I don't see how this is to do with us trying to stream the Wii U TV output to the Gamepad, but ok.
The one who posted the post I quoted asked if they can stream the Wii U Gamepad to anything else or not.
I answered with "libdrc".

Whoops, I didn't read his question correctly... My bad! :P

Just to clear up some stuff relating to the OP, in theory it's possible to do, although the practicality of swapping stuff like this is questionable.
You couldn't just tell the DRC "you see this buffer for the TV? Use that now" since resolutions and things wouldn't match up. However, you might be able to patch games / GX2 to render the main game to the DRC instead of whatever was there before. @CreeperMario, this is completely possible with a kernel exploit, you can simply use kern_write to change anything in PPC memory (including game code, system libraries, whatever).
How this actually looks in reality I don't know. It's possible, however.

Possible, but improbable. Got it! :yay3ds:

Could it also be possible to associate a Pro Controller's controls with Gamepad controls by a kernel exploit?

The Wii U apparently has been programmed for 2 Gamepads, so using homebrew instead of the normal sync section might be able to use that support

Also, all of the buttons are identical to the Gamepad, and this seems more like an achievable target

Well, HID to VPAD can replace Gamepad inputs with stuff from USB controllers so there's no reason it wouldn't be able to do the same for Pro controllers. The only issue I can see is convincing the games to ignore the Pro Controller inputs (so you don't get double inputs). Not sure why you'd want this though - is there a game with Gamepad controls that doesn't support the Pro Controller?

As for the double-Gamepad support you mentioned, it's in the system libraries but I heavily doubt its in any actual games. Homebrew may be able to utilise it though.

[Random impossible speculatory homebrew idea: two Gamepads on one console; one acting as a Gamepad and the other acting as a Pro Controller]

i would love this feature for games that do not support off tv gameplay and manny games like this only use the gamepad screen for worthless things.

Yes, some indie games, and they don't even use the gamepad as a sub-screen, they would be perfectly playable with WUPC only.
not only that but manny games that have bare bones gamepad funcionalities like lego city undercover only uses the gamepad to show some cutcenes and choose a vehicle at the vehicle spam thing, 007 legends only uses the gamepad to open locks and doors and such and manny more wiiu games that do this.

The list goes on most games that dont have full of tv support barely use the gamepad screen too wich would be amazing if one could change the tv to gamepad and gamepad to tv for those games.

People forget ALL wiiu games use the gamepad but probably under 20% have off tv mode and most of those that dont dont do the gamepad much use either.

Wii U to PC = No capture card

I hope it's possible, TV screen to Gamepad would be cool for Splatoon I guess but I really want it to happen for PC.

The figure is actually like 65 to 70% have off tv play not sure of the actual amount of games that have been realised on wiiu but over 120 games have off tv play. In saying that I have not included eshop only titles.

over 120? show me that list , last time i checked the off tv games didint even reach 100 so whats your source on the 120? also the wiiu i think has 192 retail releases not counting any digital releases acording to the wiki tough wich im not sure it has all the games its probably missing a bunch of them.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Off-TV_Play for starters if I counted right this list has 96 off tv play games and the list is missing a good few games

well you said 120 and 120 yous till have to find 24 wiiu games with off tv gameplay, but like i said even if they are 120 then its almost 50% compat.
Which is still way more than the 20% you previously claimed and like I said that list us missing a lot of games aswell.
