I am trying to add a Floor is Lava Mod to Super Mario Odyssey and I can't get it to work. I installed Simple Mod Manager to try and activate it but every time I click activate, it deactivates it again. I've been looking for a solution for days now and cannot find anything.

Should be straight forward. Will give it a go myself in a bit.

Installation Instructions

Submitter's Instructions:

Due to the sheer size of this mod, I've had to split the download into two files in order to stay under the file size limit GameBanana has. Simply extract both files, and place the atmosphere folder onto the root of your SD Card for your switch, and, if you've already setup CFW for your switch, that should be everything you need! Read the included README in either file if things aren't working.

e: Achievement Hot Dorito World unlocked!

Literally just followed the instructions above but specifically I did these two steps to make sure I got it right.

1) copied the 0100000000010000 directory from “stagesmodels” zip file into /atmosphere/contents/ first in order to get the full directory tree

2) grabbed the individual files in the “textures” file and dropped them into the already created directory just to be on the safe side.

e2: not sure if it matters but I’m using SMO 1.3.0

I have the same problem. I wanted to play zeldas ballad on switch but everytime i try to activate the mod in simple mod manager it just shows the applying and the checking bar for like a milisecond and the mod just stays inactive. I don't know what to do and have no idea how to split the download into two files like the other comment said. I also tried an amiibo pack and a helmet pack mod for zeldas ballad but can't activate those two either, so i don't really think that it's because of the size of the mod.

Illinois is working to ban toxic food additives that have been banned for decades in other countries; additives that can be replaced and all those countries still have Skittles and Mountain Dew. Title of the piece: GUBMINT WANTS TO TAKE AWAY YOUR CANDY

Gee, I wonder if the author is biased?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Veho, Sounds and smells like bullshit. They don't give you cancer, and California should know that. I don't get why they stick labels that say "may or may not cause reproductive harm or cancer".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Arsenic doesn't give you cancer either.

California has already banned those additives BTW.

Mame should be two sets one for preservation of everything and one set for people who just want to play and enjoy the old old ganes
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Psionic Roshambo, Shouldn't preservation be legal tho?

I swear like 99% of arcade games wouldn't even exist these days outside of MAME the arcade machines are old and busted very few ever saw any sort of home conversion
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
We get 37 versions of Super Mario Bros but 0 of Beast Busters

@Psionic Roshambo, There's a lot of obscure Japanese arcade titles that are either lost to time or dumped.

It's so unfair, maybe AI can save us lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean if a company could use AI to do the work of a home conversion for essentially free why not? The rights for some games are completely lost though
