Hardware Switch compact alternative docking stations, has anyone used any?

Hi, has anyone used any of the alternative docks or adaptors thats on the market? If you don't know what i mean see the pics below. If youve not seen these there basically a alternative docking system or adaptor not made by Nintendo that you can plug into your Switch & plug into your Tvs HDMI & also plug the power plug in too, some offer more like ethernet & usb connections too (like the original dock but a lot smaller & easily can be used when your traveling & dont take up so much space which is a bonus).

Anyhow I was wondering if anyone has used any of these or something similar & do they actually work? I've read some reviews but there's mixed comments so I dunno what to believe? Wanna get something compact i can take on holiday/vacation, so I thought id ask here.

There have been 3rd party dock (Nintendo approved and non approved) for years.
They usually work but you never know much about the quality with such things.
Same as with USB chargers, some work for years others fail within weeks.

I like the power plug docking stations.
The cable is probably just a plain USB-C cable.
Never noticed those before.

is the button on the front a toggle for dock mode?

like, to sit it down and still have the screen turned on or switch it the hdmi output?

Yes, button is to toggle output on/off

Some third party docks were bricking switches a few years ago so be careful wich one you buy.

Yep the one I got was just a small shell, and you put the original dock internals in it, really cool idea if you want it 100% original hardware.

I've been using one like this:

And so far it has been working perfectly. It has a HDMI/USB-C/USB-A female ports, there you can connect HDMI (ofc), power and a USB controller.

I got one that looks like the aukouy. Works fine. Nothing special, plus I use an official Nintendo USB-C with it to be safe
