install and use?
no. you got that concept entirely wrong, we don't get to do that ever. (not with current exploit, requires kernel/bootloader exploit requires owning NCM/SM/Loader)

overwrite exefs and romfs of a game with another game (not persistent, per session, requires manual work every time) - in future yes, not yet. (similar to layeredFS mechanic in atmosphere, except not)

there wont be news about anything like that for probably months, so stop asking
Do you know if the fs exploit is able to delete data from the Switch 2 system storage?
I'm asking because I'm using MIG Switch on mine regularly but it was never online.
My illusion is to delete the telemtry data that the Switch 2 would send to Nintendo, which would probably cause a ban for my system.

If not, that's totally fine, I don't plan to go online with my unit any time soon - but IF, that would be cool if we could delete/alter/spoof that telemetry data with the fs exploit.

we are able to edit game saves, but i don't think we are able to edit system saves.

system saves are where telemetry data would be stored.
for reference, atmosphere doesn't ever implement or touch on concepts related to telemetry, only error reports.

mig only gets you banned (latest mig firmware) if you're being a silly goose and using other peoples backups.

I know, I was totally aware of that, I bought an extra Switch 2 just for that use case and didn't plan to take it online anyway.
But if there were a way to delete/modify the telemetry data, that would be cool.

I saw that the fs exploit was able to dump the Switch 2 firmware, so I thought that maybe it's also able to get rid of any data that might cause a ban.

The readme for the Civ7 exploit states that in order to send any payloads, you need the Switch 2 on the network.
Gezine recommends using 90DNS, but I saw stories of people using that DNS and still "somehow" got their systems to reach the Nintendo servers.

Fake, I bought (over a year ago, at a very low price) a Switch 2 banned for buying a game from an unspecified retailer.
Another reason to be banned, then!
For this I need to backup the saves and I couldn't download Smile Basic.

The first few days post launch, the mig got you banned regardless until a fw update rolled out. I don't think there have been any verified reports of bans with legit dumps since then

I have a stupid question. Can Nintendo detect the "hacked" save file of civ7 and ban you if you would go back online?
It's possible, if it ever hit Nintendo server at some point, they may (or not) do has checks. Other wise, Nintendo has not had a history of banning consoles (or account) for hacked saves unless if it was for Online use (I believe same falls for Pokemon, Animal Cross,e tc as well - if you never go online or communication related, they haven't banned afaiu)

Short answer is, they absolutely can, but, it would come at cost of probing legitimate customers as well.
same with artemis engine stuff, balatro stuff, they can just hash the saves and whatnot....

just as they could have just scanned for hbmenu.nro on sd card, they wont do that, as some of the anti-hack anti-cfw checks they in theory could implement, could backfire or cause false positives.

which is why they don't take that kind of approach, but if you have lets say, an unsigned edited save, they most definitively will ban you instantly for that. (to my knowledge that concept should only apply to system saves, not game saves)

I don't think Nintendo has the power to 'investigate' what's on a user's microSD outside of their boundaries. I really don't think they can search for a *.nro file on microSDs.

They can. They just haven't.
it's their console, their OS, they could have at any point added a check like that in a firmware update, but they wont due to reasons i already mentioned.

What about this?
what about it? you already more or less got told you have to wait a few months for anything related to installing on console.

we're not even close to the point where we can do anything on console, even with the FS exploit.

This is not my question. Is it known or are there speculations about if the final native format for official backups will be nsp, nsp2, nup...?

FS exploit.
Sorry, on the microSD I use on the Switch, I could have photos, documents, and other stuff. I don't think they can even read anything outside of their official system folder called Nintendo. That would be too big of an intrusion.

you're being desperate, go wait a few months like you have been told, we cannot predict the future.

that being said, the .nup format adds zstandard so probably not the best of choices, and the final format wont be either of that since we havent broken crypto.

they hypothetically can do anything, how you feel doesn't change that. They absolutely can at any time if they want to, go above and beyond, and validate what is on the sd card, but wont, again, for the reasons i already stated, not because of how you feel. that nintendo does not care for in the slightest.

all the options people told you to get for 2 weeks was free.

all you had to do was download demos, and transfer a hacked save from switch 1 to switch 2
Regarding the free demos, once downloaded and installed, does Nintendo impose a time limit or expire date on them?

you need at least one exploit to get anywhere.

hacked switch 1, smile basic 4, civ(7)switch (cartridge only, switch 1 version only)

then wait 1-2 years and pray progress happend, as we most likely aren't going beyond 23.0.1 even with this
Hi there!

Found out switch 2 got a jailbreak but too late for SmileBasic demo.

Are you saying one needs hacked switch 1 and one of the two games or if you have a hacked switch 1 there is no need to acquire civ 7? Your message confused me as I have access to a jb switch 1 but obviously not the smile basic game.

Thank you

Civ vii works without a switch 1. All the demos other than smile basic need a hacked switch 1.

Get this demo, and see if you can find civ vii for insurance.

if you have a hacked switch 1 that isn't banned from online, you could transfer save hax without an additional exploit on the switch 2.

if you don't have that, then you need at least one exploit on the switch 2, to even get to the point where you can use a savehax exploit.

does that make sense? (even if you buy civ7 you have to wait for fs exploit chain, just like the other exploits)

not that any of the exploits other than smile basic 4 has the fs exploit chain currently (allegedly someone is porting it to civ7, but have not seen that yet) (said fs exploit chain is required to be able to do anything)
