Hey there guys. Bare with me and hear me out on this. So now we have Nintendo putting out new Switch 2 controllers, which from what I understand runs differently than from the first Switch console. The Wii would never had been interested in this before now because we've had Wii Pro Controllers, and we have Wii U Pro Controller support in some software put out these days. But now Nintendo is putting out wireless GameCube NSO controllers. If we could apply GameCube NSO controllers to Wii homebrew software, that would essentially be Switch 2 controller support, then Wii U users would have an easy way to have GameCube controllers work in vWii, let alone it's wireless. So that's whats got me thinking that it might be in our best interest to start thinking about this. But, I have no idea how to achieve this, as I'm not a coder, lol. So what would we need to reach this goal? Does anyone here have any thoughts? Just throwing this idea out there.

Youre out of luck i believe. Switch 1 Pro Controller already needs at least bluetooth 3.0. I dont own a Switch 2 pro controller, but one can asume its nothing less. The bluetooth module build into the Wii does only support bluetooth 2.0 tho. In vWii, the WiiU is essentially a Wii.

I mean, the Wii U wireless microphone required using an included USB dongle, so in that regard, progress could be made in theory if a driver for a compatible adaptor be created for the Wii U.

Given how unrealistic this is, the only other alternative I can think of is an adaptor that presents itself as a compatible Bluetooth 2 adaptor or generic USB controller, acting as a sort of a relay between the controller and console.

Yeah, something like adding Switch 2 Pro controller support to the OGX-Mini or such would be way more suitable

Ahh, a technical limitation. Yeah something like a driver for a USB dongle could be developed. I do believe one has been made for a USB ethernet dongle for the Wii U, but I could be wrong. But yeah, that would need to have a lot more work than just adding code. It would need a whole new hardware firmware to be developed. Seems so out of reach once you put it that way

As said tho, using OGX-Mini works already for Switch Pro Controllers (and more, like XBox controller, ds6 etc). Since its capable to emulate different controllers, like PS3 one or generic HID. Thtat totally compatible with homebrew and works out of the box on nintendont and other homebrew. It uses bluepad32 library for gamepad/bluetooth connection. I wouldnt be surprised if Switch 2 Pro controller support gets added one day :)
