Ehm Robins, how do i update loadiine?

If it still doesn't work after deleting the .whatever folders, I'm afraid you'll just have to get it back into a Mac and run it through HiM. But that will definitely solve your problem. It;s not all games that need it done, but 3D World is a pita and does need it.

The thing is, the Mac is not mine its my fathers so he is suuuuuuper safe and doesnt let me install anything, but if its just running it then fine.

Yeah it's totally safe, if he's at all worried, he should install an app called AppCleaner. That get's rid of any hidden or redundant files left behind when you uninstall an app. in fact he should have that anyway, I wouldn't be without it.

As for yourself, you can try this app out it's got a windows version to do much the same job. I've never used it myself because I'm a Mac boy these days, but worth a shot. And if it doesn't do the job, well at least you can get access to your dads Mac to get it done.

Hmm weird, it doesnt let me install it cuz its not verified

I will try the Win one, cuz i rly dont wanna use my dads laptop

Wait, how do i use that?

On the Mac? That's fine, go to the security & privacy entry in Settings and click on Launch Anyway, or temporarily change the "Allow Apps From" to everywhere. Again dont worry, it's safe, those messages are just Apple being over protective, which is mostly good. So long as you know what you're using is safe, it's ok to change the security setting so you can launch it. As soon as the app has launched you can change the security setting back so that you can be sure the apps not allowed to do anything untoward

(That stuff is going to get a whole lot worse in macOS Sierra, which I'm using now. Basically Apple wants to try and force as many people to use the Mac AppStore as possible, thats what all of that nonsense is about. On one hand it has it's merits. On the other it scares people off from legitimate apps that aren "Apple Authorised" and believe me, some massive multi-national companies suffer from those same warnings because they won't bow down to Apples will.)

Sorry for waffling, I've just had my morphine lol (really)

Nice, it deleted 4000 files :)

Yeah, totally worth trying the windows app. You may well need it in the future for more games, so if it works, all the better. If not, tell your dad he can boot my arris if anything happens to his Mac by using the app (which it won't, so I know my bums safe from a kicking ;) )

Oh, and if he really dent want to trust it, though honestly no reason why not. You can try CleanMyDrive 2 from the Mac AppStore, he'll know that's legit, though I don't know if you need to do an in app purchase for that app to get the same job done the free app does.

Last edited by Stwert,

Well, i have to wait until that loads.

That's weird, did you get the game from the website mentioned earlier, that I can't mention :D thats where I did, then after a full card clean with HiM it finally started working

I got it from the iso site.

Ok, i will try Mac, but how do i uninstall stuff?

To uninstall on the Mac you just drag the icon of the app into the trash and empty it.

One thing when you do the cleaning, make sure you clean the whole card and not just the Mario folder. Drag the entry for the SD card from the left of the finder window (or desktop if it's there) into the HiM app window. And make sure you've set HiM to automatically unmount the card when it's finished.

Well yes and no, you'd either have to re-obtain the game so that it's clean, or get rid of all of the .whatevers from the Mario folders before putting it back onto the SD card. Don't forget to backup any other things on the card you might need ,which may also need cleaned, obvious I know ;)

I'm still surprised HiM didn't work, it's always worked for me. Wonder if something else is afoot (other than 12 inches)

It can work, but my dad wont let me :(
