Heyy.
So guys this might be the dumbest question on GBAtemp, but here goes:
Will having screen protectors on the 3DS affect the 3D vision?
Will I still be able to see 3D with protectors on?
Honestly I find this quite unscientific, but I just want to make sure.

I can't imagine that it would, since screen protectors are just a see-through piece of plastic...like if you had to wear glasses, then you'd still see the 3D fine.

Alright thanks guys

I'm ordering my blue 3DS now with Street Fighter, a screen protector and Super Monkey Ball

That's not completely true... The plastic CAN effect the way that light travels to and from the screen so there is always the chance it could screw up the 3D.

The difference between eye glasses and a sheet of plastic is that the glasses bend light to make up for imperfections in the human eye... IE it's already designed to take blurred 3d images (albeit real life

) and make them sharp and viewable. The plastic sheets however are just that, plastic sheets. They will warp light coming out of the system if even just a small amount... Will it be enough to effect a 3d image from the system? In most cases no... But crappy or thick screen protectors could cause a problem.

Well.. I guess since I already ordered a screen protector, I'll try it and see

Thanks anyways.
Btw my brother also says something about maybe if the screen protector is shiny, its glare can screw up the 3D or something? (lol

)
What do you guys say about that ^ ?

Hmm... I might as well just put a screen protector for the touch screen and see what the internet has to say about the top screen.

Hey guys has anyone tried putting a screen protector on a JAP 3DS?
Is the 3D still viewable? Do the screen protectors cause any disadvantages?
Elaborate if you can.

Nintendo already sells varying levels of screen protection for the 3DS.

The 3D is achieve with a parallax effect. There's no reason why a screen protector would impact the 3D viewing as a whole. Obviously just like other screen protectors it can seem a bit 'muddy' viewing images through it depending on the quality of the protector used.
