Alright, now how do I change the icon? I tried it in Steam but it would only let me select EXE files and if I did the view all thing the icon was blank. I mean, these are separate EXE files so I could just go and change those directly, but it won't let me do that on my computer.

I know about that. I was talking about the little icons that show on detail view and all that.

...also, is a resource hacker really how you put custom backgrounds and screenshots and all that on the detail view pages?

As for custom icons, I made them myself.
Saved a 32x32 image as an ICO file (used a Photoshop plugin), then used the program Resource Hacker (followed this tutorial). Then a reboot of the system makes the system fully recognize the new icon (a reboot has to occur, otherwise while you can see the icon, the system still keeps the original one in memory... At least on Windows 7 64-bit).

Also, in regards to the second part, no, that's not mandatory. Screenshots taken in game will turn into the game's background, but that is one way to get custom backgrounds that you can't/don't want to take in game.

Take screenshots? Like, with the Steam overlay's F12 function? The Steam overlay isn't compatible with my copy of Rollercoaster Tycoon. How annoying.

...how would I use resource hacker to add screenshots to Steam?


Edit) Okay this is ridiculous. Every time I try to save an icon for Touhoumon.gba's VBA file (It was either Touhoumon or Mother 3 on my R4, since both could only be played if flashed in the NOR, and I picked Mother 3) the resource hacker window freezes and always stays not responding.
Edit2) Nevermind, Resource Hacker freezes when I try to save ANYTHING and never responds ever again.
