Gaming Steam and Dota 2 question

I was on Steam and checked out Dota 2 and it says I already own the game? But when searching it says its $29.99

Why is this? I never bought it

It's in beta and not available for purchase. What you see is probably that you own the game and you can buy beta keys for other people.

Check your library.

Actually, if you didn't buy it and didn't get an invite, you own the Spectator Version of the game. The Play tab is disabled so you can't play but you can watch other people play games, for example you can watch competitions and leagues.
