GeckoOS
What is GeckoOS:
GeckoOS is a homebrew operating system that has it's roots from back in the day of the GameCube...
It was in a way formerly known as Gecko Region Free... It is coded by a very smart guy named NUKE and can be found at:
http://usbgecko.com/
NUKE's blog can be found at:
http://www.unrom.com/
GeckoOS came into being to be used with the USBgecko device.

USB Gecko is a homebrew programmers tool to allow you to interface your Wii or GameCube console to your PC for allowing you to debug code using libogc and the devkitpro toolchain. The adapter also has an open source API and source code examples showing how you can write your own custom tools or debugging suites.
Already USB Gecko has full game remote debugging suites, cheat engines, file uploaders, music players, screen grabbers, dvd utilities.

GeckoOS has evolved over time to me more than just a debugging tool or homebrew loader...
it now can rip Wii games for backups via usb 2.0 so a Wii game takes only 2hrs instead of the 5hrs via wifi....
(USBGecko device needed also you have to use another piece of homebrew available on the website!)
It also has the ability to find and hack cheat codes with help of the USBGecko device and a pc app named Wiird
(Wiird:
http://wiird.l0nk.org/wp/)
And it also now has the Stand alone cheat code engine Ocarina by: Link built in!
It still has it's original feature of region free and it bypasses the update partition on the game disc!
And now it even has features to remove the save copy flags and lets you move the disc channel wherever you want...
Thanks to the new rebooter option.... So GeckoOs although it's no HBC is definitely a bad ass piece of homebrew and is not out of date and can be used by all....
" Just want to say that not all features are listed here and if I made a mistake let me know via private mesg so I can edit it... let's not clutter a post with corrections I will give you credit for the correction... so no need to clutter the post"...
