Title.

(Standard- camera movement in analog direction)
(Vertically Inverted- camera moving up = analog down, vice-versa)
(Horizontally Inverted- camera moving left = analog right, vice-versa)
(Inverted- fully (horizontal + vertical) inverted)

Just curious. I don't know why but I've always used vertically inverted controls.

Vertically inverted controls for shooters and flight-sims, but standard for most everything else.
And none of my friends like my controller setup.

I know what you mean.
My friends are always asking me "what's with the invert?" whenever I pause the game to change my controls.

At a younger age I would always switch between standard and vertically inverted, but now the latter has stuck onto me.

Same to me. It makes sense to use inverted in flight sims, but not much in FPS. Just my opinion, though.

My bro is used to inverted X and Y-axis, but I guess he kinda got used with my standard setup, so he's fine with both.

This. With Shooters, it feels unnatural to play inverted, and flight simulators it feels unnatural to play standard.

same here.

irl if you had a gun you point it up to look up etc.
irl in a plane you push the joystick forward (up) and you go down etc. (and don't argue, it does - i've flown one)

Standard. I can't stand inverted, ever.

ok, so remind me never to sit in a plane with Hells Malice flying, we might crash instead of take off.

Well these days only the smallest of planes are still fly-by-wire so technically speaking you could probably tall the controls to accept a non-inverted control....but it would almost never be used.
