My son 'got' several war games for the Wii. He wants to see how the games work on the Wii before spending his life saving on them from Gamestop :)

Spec-Ops games
Medal of Honor

Both Spec Ops game just halts at the 'Loading....' screen.
Medal of Honor just stops or reboot.. son can't remember.

He is wanting to buy the games this weekend if they are worth getting.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

250 Call Of Duty = Works!

Is there a list of Games and what number to use for them?

Thanks,

he meant slot 249 for everything else.

What you need to know is not the d2x version, or the loader revision, or the IOS slot number.
What's important is what is installed inside the IOS slot number.

You need a custom IOS based on IOS 56 for almost all games (it provides the better USB access speed)
You need a custom IOS based on IOS 57 for Call of Duty.

Usually, the custom IOS with base 56 is installed in the slot 249, and the one with the base 57 is in slot 250.
But custom IOS can be installed in any slot, it all depend on what you used and what you did to softmod your Wii. The best thing is to understand what you did to your Wii when you hacked it, and in which purpose.

249 can't be used for everything else, usb mic requires different IOS. I didn't know if there was a game database that indicates IOS per game ( I know most are 249) that doesn't use default. I am discovering that all usb mic game use the same IOS either.

I know what my Wii did during soft mod. How do I know which IOS the game uses ??? The game doesn't pop up and say use IOS 57 :) Apparently, there is a way to know the IOS of a game without asking.

Thanks for input :)

If you use WiiBackupManager, it displays the official required IOS.
but it will not tell you which Base IOS you need, most games works with all bases. only few of them require specific IOS base.

Thanks, that is exactly what I was asking for as a list :) Of course, it has been starring me in the face, lol :)
