I use the boot loader screen but all i get is a black screen, changed the path = /3ds/ReiNand/rei/arm9loaderhax.bin to root where i put the file. Am i doing something wrong??

I just put it as rei/arm9loaderhax.bin and it works fine.

Did you put the firmware.bin from reinand 3.2 in the rei folder as well ?

Pushed new goodies. Made it a v3.3 Release, because i havent made a release in 4 commits, so yea.
Change log for last 4 commits:
  • Smart patching fully implemented.
  • A9lh compatibility
  • Crude version of sysnand re-implemented (firmlaunch)
  • Proper LCD shutdown
  • New MPU settings

Thank you very nice release :)

Thank you so much Rei!

The "Proper LCS shutdown" means that the 3D-bug its fixed? I mean, we don't need to close the 3ds for fix the 3d?

Sorry, what's smarty patching again?

Thank you for the release
Smart patching is the reason we don't need to wait for @Reisyukaku to update ReiNAND every time Nintendo push a new firmware.

Basically it automatically locates and implements patching of the offsets that often change when Nintendo updates NATIVE_FIRM (or is that Home Menu?).

It's this change of offsets that frequently breaks the MultiROM menu for Gateway users when firmware updates are pushed.

At least this is my understanding, I may be waaaaay off base. If so, I'd welcome an official explanation from @Reisyukaku so that I'm not spreading misinformation.

Hey friends,

I have emunand with reinand 3.2 and would like to update to 3.3 now. What's the proper way to do that? Any way of updating to 3.3 without reformating my emunand, because I have over 30 games installed and I don't want to install them again.

Yay! Always nice to have a release!

Can you elaborate on a few things?

Who was smart patching not fully implemented before?
Why is sysnand implementation crude in your eyes?
What does new MPU settings mean?
Can you change my cat box?

Also, 3.3 can't be used with "v1" a9h right? I'm guessing I need the screen init version? My 3ds won't boot after replacing all the reinand and a9h file and I can't investigate until after work. :(

It black screens on power up and doesn't shut down without a hard shut down. Does it need L depressed or something new? Pry just screen init a9l?
