Hacking Soul Silver

I'm hoping someone can help shed some light, the last week I've been trying to get a translated copy of Soul Silver(or Heart Gold it doesn't matter) to work on my M3i Zero for my DSi. But no matter what combination of translation/anti piracy/arm7 fixes I use there is always a problem, be it random crashing, pokegear freeze, black screen freeze, freeze on save.
I have updated my firmware to the latest directly from handheldsources.

Can anyone that has experience in what I'm going through or knows what combination of fixes works to get it functioning correctly please help me out.
I'm a little tired right now so if I've missed out any crucial information to helping let me know.

as far as I know all translated pkm ss/hg's have the crashing, I have one wich is just japanese but it crashes once every 55 minuts with decreasing time intervals (the next crash after 55 is usualy 45 minuts), but the game is playable and you just have to save every 15 minuts or so.
