Hi, for some time (I think since I downgraded my 3ds to 9.2) some homebrews don't work and I tried them on sysnand and on emunand. Most of them are emulators (gameyob, quicknes, picodrive...). In particular, on gameyob, when i start a game the screen remains white (except Mario Tennis, where there is a black and white screen with the logo of the game and the text "This game can only be played on Game Boy (R) Color"). Can you help me?

Is GBC Mode set to On?

Strange I have downgraded and all the emulators you are having problems with work fine for me are you trying to boot them from homebrew menu or have you installed the cia versions should not matter as both work for me but might help identify your problem.

I used browserhax, menuhax and hblauncher_loader.cia

hey, some homebrews don't work because you may not have acess to arm code execution.
have you tried installing a custom firmware like rxtools, minipasta or pasta cfw before running the homebrew?

also, are your nands unlinked, or do you even have an emunand?

I already use Rxtools, but the homebrews don't work. I don't think the problem is the custom firmware, when I was on firmware 10.x (so without custom firmware) all these homebrews worked.

do you have your nands unlinked? are you launching the sysnand/emunand via rxtools mode?
where and how are you installing your cias?

My nands are linked and I install cias using fbi and in the sd
yeah that's the problem, when you're going to install virtual console titles(like gbas or gbcs) you HAVE to install both of them in the SD from sysNAND and emuNAND.
I know this may sound pretty confusing, it was for me, but you have to enter sysNAND with minipasta, and then launch FBI to install the GBC cia.
Then boot to emuNAND to install it again.
Power off the 3ds and it will be ready for playing GBC

Mate, the problem aren't the virtual console games, I know how to install vc games on my 3ds. My problem are homebrews, in particular emulators like gameyob, picodrive etc.

just install the cias not emulators its way easier

Even if this was about VC, that's not even correct. The only thing that has to be installed in sysNAND to work are GBA VC and DSiWare. All other VC (NES, SNES, GB, GBC, GG, etc) do not require you to install them to sysNAND.

As for OP, is your GameYob looking for a gbc_bios.bin file that isn't there?
