I have read some the topics here about G6 and R4, but I don't understand very much, please help me by aswering my questions

1. I know the R4 uses a MicroSD-card as storage. Can you buy any card, or will it lag with certain cards?
2. I read that the microsd-USB-thingie that comes with R4 is crap, is that true?
3. Can you listen on music with it?
4. Watch video?
5. Run homebrews?
6. Run GBA roms?
7. Run DS roms w/o patch?
8. Which slot?
9. What does it use to store roms/files? how does it work?
10.Do you need to have any additional hardware/software to make it work?
11.Anything else I ought to know about them?

Please help, I'm really confused in this jungle of flashcarts and passmes and all that stuff

Thanks in advance!

1. Certain SD cards have slow speeds
2. Yes, better gettin a SD Adapter
3. Yes
4. Yes
5. Yes
6. Not with the R4, but yes with with G6
7. R4 yes, G6 maybe patching needed
9. G6 internal memory, and R4 memory card (microSD)
10. Nope
11. Better getting a CycloDS!

Ok, lemme help you out here.

1. The R4 may lag with certain cards, yes. In Castlevania: PoR and Tony Hawk Downhill Jam. But with a 1 GB Kingston Japan, you won't get any lags in these games (best card for R4).

2. Well, if you get the silver one with a black cap (supplied with the R4), then yes, it's a good card reader. But if you get the Kingston card, it'll come with a SD adapter included, which is better.

3, 4 and 5 - all yes!

6- R4 cannot run GBA roms, for that you need an EZFlash 3 in 1 which is 22 dollars off DealExtreme.

G6 can run it, as it's a slot 2 device.

7- R4 needs NO patching for DS roms, G6 does.

8- R4 is slot 1, G6 is slot 2.

9- G6 uses internal memory, and R4 uses MicroSD cards which can be expanded up to 4GB (not out yet, max currently is 2 GB).

10. Nope, unless you want to play GBA ROMS if you get an R4, consider the EZV 3 in 1. Has rumble, plays GBA games at a time, and has RAM for the Opera browser.

10. R4 is the better option.

Thanks!
I think I'm getting a R4..

But about the SD card:
I have found a nice site where you can buy a card named "Kingston Micro Secure Digital 1GB".

Is that the card you are talking about?

EDIT: you don't get an adapter with the card above.
Is it possible to use the adapter that comes with the chip?
