Hi,

Looking at softmodding my Xbox 360, which has already got plenty of purchased games installed (still have the discs).

Once softmodded is it possible to play these without having the disc in our would I need to delete them, then reinstall the iso/god file from elsewhere?

Thanks.

when you softmod the console, the games that will be on the hard disk will be played without the need for the disk. any other game you find on a disk, you will simply install it on the hard disk and it will be ready to play. is your console phat or slim?

Hi, since this post I’ve soft modded and yes they do play straight from the internal hdd via the Xbox dash, however I’m now having trouble with aurora, I’ve created another post for this problem.

You have to convert your iso to GOD format an put it in
/Hdd1/Content/0000000000000000/
on the usb

Thanks, i'm sure I've already done this as one of the attempts, but I'll try it again.

Btw, do I need to put it in the directory you mentioned, or can I copy it to the external usb HDD in the Games folder - will it run from there?

Also, what about the games already in the /Hdd1/Content/0000000000000000 folder, why is aurora not seeing them?

IIRC the first time I got mine back from getting the RGH mod done, I did have to run a bit of homebrew to re-sign the installed games so they would be (re)playable. Thankfully it was a one-time thing. Also handy if you have more than one console that can accept the hard(solid state)disk in question.

Hi, what was the homebrew you used to re-sign them, will it make them playable from aurora?

Have tried disc to god, no luck..... Also iso to god, no luck (moved the files into content/00000......) nothing shows up on the aurora dashboard (reboot, rescan etc etc).

It's been suggested that I try a clean install of aurora, so that's next.

Did a clean install of Aurora 0.7b.2, on first run it scans through the internal HDD and I can see it scanning all the titles (approx 35), although it still doesn't find the disc to god title or the iso to god (default.xex) I've got on there.

After bootup a path to content/00000.... Is added, it scans for the games and now they actually appear on the dashboard (without covers).

Trying to add the covers via 'assets' gives no joy.

Reboot Aurora and all the titles have disappeared from the dashboard, doing a scan makes no difference.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Scan route was set to 4, changed it to 9 but still not finding titles.
Already had other title on a scan path (the iso I downloaded and converted to GOD), also changed to 9 but still not being found.

What I did notice is that if I run XM360 from the xexmenu/homebrew, not only did it see the titles (except the one I mention above), but I can also launch and play them!

Pulling my hair out over this.

Strange…..Freestyle Dash 3 sees all these games on the internal hdd and launches them (the ones I’ve tried anyway).

Still not downloading covers but Ive noticed that when I do a network test it only connects to the router and not the internet (it reports network connected, internet failed, xbox live blocked - which seems to be a common error).

Have tried changing router to split 5ghz and 2.4ghz, connected Ethernet and used phone hotspot - none will connect to the internet.

Retried aurora with exactly the same scan paths, finds the games on the first run, but hangs at getting the title update when trying to launch one.... After that it doesn't find any games.

Fsd works perfectly, only issue I have with that is that the covers won't download
