I just got a Wii with the epoxy crap all over my security chip (running system menu 3.4E) and I'm thinking of getting a WasabiDX chip. Now I can't find answers to these questions anywhere, been searching for hours.
First off, is there much point getting a modchip when I can softmod? I have read lots of modchip > softmod but really what are the advantages in terms of difficulty running newer games? I still want to be able to run homebrew.
Assuming I got the modchip, would I be able to softmod my wii now and have any issues? Say if I used the SoftMii pack, should I just stop at the "downgrading your wii to 3.2" step or if I fully hacked it, would the chip have any issues running alongside the softmod?
