Hacking SOFTCHIP NEW FEATURES...

What is the deal with softchip? Compared to the wiigator loader?
no one has run down the comparisons

That's because they aren't comparable; they are both open-source, but SoftChip Loader has an open development process, Wiigator's doesn't.
In terms of how well they currently load discs, they pretty much work just as well as each other, and both use the same IOS. However the SoftChip team are working on a new IOS which will load backups better than Wiigator's loader currently using Wanikoko's ios.

Also, at the moment, SoftChip's loader is currently in a very early alpha stage, and there is no compiled dol, only unofficial community versions. So as I said, comparing them isn't really fair.

its a loader....is that it? no gc or disc channel direct loads?
WHAT ARE ITS FEATURES...i see goals annnnd issues but no features.

Features:
Loads backup game discs on unmodded system.

funny. I meant in contrast to wiigators loader. Why make another loader if the features are the same.ARE THERE NO DIFFERENCES between the 2?

Softchip has NO FEATURES AT THIS POINT... it's not released... so there can't be any features...

Your trying to compare a 2009 car to a car from 2011... since the car from 2011 hasn't been made yet, you can't compare them!

It is sooooo unique as long as you take the precautions, #2 demodulator etc etc.

Yup, the demodulation really adds a lot of compatibility. I would recommend Demodulating the SD card before using softchip, as it has demod. advantages built right in.

And to the thread starter, stop using caps and mouthing off to everybody. So far you seem unable to accept that wiigator and softchip are on level ground. Well, they are.
