we still need a patch that will fix red steel/mk/other to think the disc has been patched to use ios249 or whatever cios is running. i'm not sure if it's possible to perform this from the loader side, maybe with a patch to main.dol if that's where the check is ocurring. of course a cios patch might be more compatible with games that might have more than one dol, like house of the dead 2 and 3, not sure though. we're still waiting for requiem to post his cios/dip module source.

just out of curiosity, can we use wiigator's installer with newer ioses (like 50, 53, 55) as inputs? i would assume it only works with 36 and maybe 37 but i never tested it since i was afraid of an install failure.
that's exactly what requiem is working on. the loader patches the main.dol on the fly to use any ios you want it to use. right now it's not finished, but i am sure the release will be in a foreseeable period of time.

OK. Rock Band Song Pack 1 problem solved. Whereas Rock Band that was changed to IOS249 with IOSPatcher1.1 works with SoftChip, Song Pack 1 doesn't. If Song Pack 1 isn't IOSPatched it works. I just removed the PAL Update from it since im on NTSC machine. I have IOS37 installed as IOS232 and IOS247. It works with SoftChip set to use either. Now I'm beginning to wonder what happens if I patch Guitar Hero world tour to IOS37.
I can't imagine that it would find the RB instruments or if it will even launch but for the price of a DVD gonna give it a shot for shits and grins. If by a 1 in a million shot it would work then I would be a true Wii Guitar Hero. But i expect i'll end up a Zero. Anyways.... both Rock Band and Song Pack 1 backups now working for me.

I have the same problems with this backup loader as I do with the Gamma loader

Just a bit of information feedback for you guys. Yesterday I patched Rock Band to IOS249 and used the SoftChip-RB loader and all is good. So I downloaded Rock Band Track Pack 1 and patched it. Does not work.... Burned a second time and get same error.... here is the dump.

What does patched mean? SoftChip can't read decrpyted discs, and cIOS37 doesn't have the Trucha bug. Why did you download the PAL version while your console is NTSC? It would be easier if you would just backup your disc, this way you would get the correct version 100% for sure. Besides, there's NO NEED to remove the update from the game if you launch it with a backup loader.

I need a tester for my new cIOS installer. It features cIOS36 and cIOS37 online and offline installation to any slot you want with the rev7 backup dip. New in this version is the trucha bug inside the cIOS37 thanks to the Korean disc cios_installer by QLeap. I don't have a trucha signed disc, so i need somebody to verify if the cIOS37 works as expected.

PS: Korean disc support is not included, use QLeap's installer for this

I'm sorry if this comes of the wrong way, please don't let it; but does SoftChip offer anything that GammaLoader doesn't?
I'm just wondering if it's really worth me downloading if I already got Gamma installed and working fine.
Thanks for the help!

Edit--Sorry Guys, I just looked at the Official Site, Good Work!!!!
Looking forward to the future of this one!!

one example: you can select which ios should be used to run your backups. for example if you want to test cios rev7 by waninkoko at ios249 and cios 37 by wiipower ios248 at the same time it's not a problem. you could use cios37 by wiipower for rockband and wanins rev7 for other backups. with wiigators loader you would need multiple dol-files for differnt ioses.

To be fair i have to add that you have to restart SoftChip when you change the used IOS, that takes about 20 seconds. A future release will let you choose which IOS to be used with which game.

could someone explain how this exactly does work ?

lets say i wanna play SSX Blur (or Mortal Kombat, whatever) what exactly would i need to do ?
i tried with this multi ios installer thing but well i can install whatever ios i want but yeah whats the use of it ? and if i need to install the ios that is needed all the time what about the change funktion in softchip ?

when i just say that softchip should use another version i get an error that i need the selected ios with custim dip module installed first ...

Arrg, does it(cIOS37) work with trucha signed discs or not? I really need confirmation.

I am traveling to ScoreHero with that question NOW.
I'm assuming the installation process is:
1) Put the included .dol in a file, blah blah blah, easy.
2) Create the directories as seen in the read-me
3) Run the .dol?

Or can you still use the online update function?
Expect results soon, WiiPower (although not directly confirmed by me).

Online installation should work too, i only added the information, because i prefer offline installation. And yes you only need to run the .dol in the HBC.
