So I've been trying to soft reset in hope of finding the new shiny Regis in Sword and Shield with no luck so far. The entire time I've been wondering to myself if it was possible to automate the process since I've seen mention of trade bots and apps like Luxray that seem to do their jobs pretty well.

Basically I was wondering if it was possible to create a program that would be able to automate the process of entering the battle and repeating. I think I read somewhere that exiting and reentering the game wasn't reasonably feasible, but there is the other option of repeating the floor pattern to respawn the Regis. Of course redoing the floor patterns would probably be a challenge to map out, but I'm hoping someone might be able to pull it off. Who knows, if enough people are interested, someone might actually make it!

You're probably going to have to pay someone to do it.

I wouldn't mind trying my own hand in making a program like this, although I've never worked on anything like this before, so I'm not sure where to start. I've been looking at a few arduino board programs, but nothing like I'm describing seems to exist even in that format.

Having said all that, I wouldn't be opposed to commissioning someone to make a program like this, I'm just not sure how much would be a reasonable offer.

Edit: I actually just found this today. Looks like I'm going hunting arduino boards. LOL

Apparently I wasn't the only one interested in this kind of bot and after some searching online, I found a few different options for people that don't have an Arduino board.

Apparently the Switch-Up from Collective Minds got an update recently including a soft reset bot.

Just this morning I also found a mod of SysBot that has quite a few different options for automating encounters for shiny pokemon. https://github.com/Manu098vm/SysBot.NET Check the Wiki for all the details.
