Sociable Soccer 24 - offline mode?

Hi all,

ist there a way play Sociable Soccer 24 offline? In airplane mode it does not let me pass the title screen where you have to connect to a server.
Can one bypass this somehow?

I guess it may be an online-only game (with strict network verification process).

Strangest thing is, Switch version has no online multiplayer...

Shame, really wanted to try it.

The review I just read said that the career mode needs online but the world mode doesn't.

Also online multiplayer is apparently coming later.

Ah, makes sense. I may actually buy it as I was a massive fan of sensible back int' day and it looks interesting.... and not by EA is always a bonus!
