I realised that once I wrote it! Its literally the only online game he plays as you dont need a nintendo 12 month subscription. He dont know what aeroplane mode is so ill just turn it off.

Its not that at all, when I signed up over 3 years ago its not like I can remember what every rule and condition is! Probably signed up to 100 other sites sign i signed up here.

Is there a guide anywhere on how to do it via your android phone? A cable I've been waiting for still hasnt arrived but read somewhere you can do it on your phone? Same connection as the switch
You can do it on your phone, but you need an USB-OTG cable to do so, and I'm guessing you don't have one.

Well you guessed wrong.
Micro USB to USB-C? It might be the wrong way around (USB-C side as host instead of Micro USB side as host)
USB-C to USB-C cables are normally not OTG and probably won't work as such unless specifically advertised as an OTG cable.

Got a male to male otg cable. Anyways all sorted now but do have another question...

Ive finally got round to exploiting the switch and now under album apps come up but my question now is if im not allow to go online how do I use a certain appstore app which github tells me up download ?

Kind Regards

If it's the Homebrew AppStore you don't need it, you can just manually install and update homebrew applications if you intend to keep your Switch offline.

To be honest I'd like to keep it so its easier to get games. Someone has mentioned 90dns?

The Homebrew App Store doesn't serve commercial games. Maybe you're talking about Tinfoil?

I think it is the hb appstore. Ive searched incognito and 90dns which someone has mentioned but have no idea whwre to put the files, as there isnt a walkthrough guide (so dumb at this stuff)

Incognito and 90DNS are both designed to be used if you don't need to use Nintendo's online services but want to retain internet access in general on the console. This essentially means no online gaming but YouTube, for example, would still work.

Actually, you can use emuMMC with this guide: https://nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/
It basically clones your switch's NAND to the SD Card so you can have 2 Switches in 1 card. One for online play, and the other on Airplane mode/Incognito/90DNS for homebrew.
It requires a bigger SD Card though.
for online, you need our own virgin nand or will choidujour nand be fine?

So online services would also stop when i went onto my real switch image ?

No. If you apply 90DNS and Incognito on emuMMC only, No. Online Services will work on the real switch.

Also, YouTube will not work, you need to patch it.

@OP use emunand (emuMMC) for games and online with latest updates from chnx. Use the sysnand(OFW) to access eshop and whatnot. (you will need to update) I use atmosphere-nx on OFW and chnx to install updates to access the store. Then buy what you want and for convenience, link that OFW account you bought stuff on to emunand and download them there. You could skip using OFW and use emunand with your account and download them too. The goal of emunand is to use that instead of your OFW sysnand as your system should stay on low firmware to be exploited(unless RCM).
