is there a stable working snes emulator for the ds?

The best SNES emulator for the DS is SnemulDS. It's not 100% but it is your best choice.

snemulds is your best bet as trolley dave said. There are some others which support a few games snemulds doesn't but none of them support games (such as snesds with super star wars and empire strikes back) with special chips, the ds just isn't powerful enough for those games
