Hacking Snatcher on Picodrive hangs before complex scenes

I'm playing Snatcher on Picodrive in Adrenaline on PS Vita, and it will hang before a complex scene happens. It was fine until now, as it would eventually resume playing, but now I'm stuck in the car sabotage scene.

Is there anything I can try to do to get through this part, or even play it on a different emulator?
