Gaming Smash Bros: Game requires update??

Hey,

My son has smash bros on disc (which was on version 1.1.7) and I downloaded the dlc with usb helper and installed it but was met with the message an update is required to play. I downloaded said update and installed but still get the same message?

What have i done wrong?

What version is your Wii U on?

The message reads 'an update is required to start this software' and can be done so by connecting to the internet.

I should mention the wii u in question is offline so connecting is not possible. The game was on the latest version as i checked but the wii u autoboots to cfw. Im sure it was on the 2nd to last firmare (5 something!) how would i confirm?

Everything worked until i installed the dlc (to nand as thats where the saves and updates were) but one thing i noticed, as i downloaded the update from usb helper, it's supposedly 3gb but my files come just under. (2.8gb i think) however i verified with usb helper 3 times and was told the files are fine.

Do you install the game in the memory of the Wii or on USB support ?? , if Nand wii make sure you have enough free GO

The game + DLC + update ==> must be on the same support (either Nand or USB)

Yeah the saves and other update file was on the nand so I installed the dlc to there and then the update afterwards and there is still plenty of space.

Im wondering if I should delete the files in question and then retry?

delete your game (games, dlc, update) from your Nand.

and start with ==> games, update, then dlc

I repeat my question ==> What is the version of your wii U, please ??
