I'd have to go with the iPod. Jailbreak and play a ton of games.

The Lego (yes, that is the plural) are fucking awesome, but wont be as fun for as long as the iPod.

Death Star. Definitely.

Didn't we have this already? Just flip a coin and get it over with.

Are LEGO Death Stars really that expensive nowadays?

Go to the iPod. Dig out some of your older LEGOs and build your own Death Star from scratch, no guides. It makes for a bigger trophy on your mantle.

Bah, humbug. Why waste money on the vain and evanescent piece of consumer electronics? A year from now, when the 20th generation of iPods comes out, the current iPods will look as outdated and as antiquated as cassette tape Walkmen do now, while the LEGO Death Star will still be as universal and as exciting as it is today. The timeless classic that is Star Wars combined with the epic awesome that is LEGO will never grow old. Both have survived the test of time, and while the iPod is cool and sleek and modern today, tomorrow, when Apple and its hordes of faithful followers move to some new design, when green is the new white, the iPod of today will seem no more modern or stylish than this thing. Once a pinnacle of design with a revolutionary, intuitive user interface, now a clunky unwieldy box with a primitive GUI and laughably limited capabilities. "New" is fleeting.

And remember, the ability to play mp3s is insignificant next to the power of the Force

I think you should wait a month and see which one you still want then. You clearly have no idea at the moment and there's no point rushing to spend money.

Lego, Definitely!
As others have said, the ipod will be outdated in a few months, whereas i have Lego left from years ago! And I still play with it!

And think about it, when you buy the Lego, you can keep it forever and save up the money for an ipod
But if you get an ipod, and save up again for the Lego, you might have to replace your ipod if it breaks!
So then you would still have no Lego!

So yeah, I would go for the Lego, and get the ipod at a later date.

Lego or an iPod Touch, are you seriously asking this question for real?
The capabilities an iPod Touch has is far more than a few blocks that you stick together, you will have more fun with the Touch, believe me.

well its still a hard choice! but it seems like the death star is going to be the winner except when someone gives a very, very, very good reason!

Since you're so unsure at the moment, you could donate the money to me. I know I want a new faceplate and screen for my PSP. So that's the option I vote for. At least I'm decisive.

Otherwise, Death Star. I never saw the appeal of getting my big oily fingers all over electronic screens, and music is pretty lame. Legos, though are pretty fun and rewarding.

Dang that Deathstar is expensive!
You can get two 8 gb ipod touches for that money.

You seem to be leaning on getting the Deathstar and I think you should.
It's what you want the most and it'll still be worth something in 5 years.
