What are you doing? get a Class 4 8GB PNY card from play.com, they get 20MB/s read speeds and are ideal for Acekards.

Either that get the 8GB Toshiba card from 7DayShop.com http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_in...ducts_id=105852 again it should have 20MB/s read speeds.

Both cards should be SD-C08G Japan cards, the same as the desireable Kingston cards. (Toshiba make the Kingston cards)

DO NOT BUY FROM EBAY, NOT FROM ANY SELLER. There are many sellers with great feedback who sell fakes, mainly because the people receiving them don't realise they are fakes.

Some games emit slowdown, but there is not much you can do about it, really. There is a difference in format between Original carts and Flashcarts. There are several games with this problem, being more or less evident: all Pokemons (to some extent), Nanostray, Metal Slug 7, Tony Hawks, and problem with some videos in various games (like CV: DoS). This is not specific to Acekard 2i, since my R4 sdhc seems to have the same problem. The only way to fix this problem is to buy the game... seriously.

Hi again, I'd like to thank you all again for your advice and guidance. I thought I'd update now that the situation has changed.

I was originally going to buy an expensive branded card as had been told that would make a difference, but I already had an unbranded 16gb cheap card from Hong Kong coming (I feared the worst of course) and thought I'd at least wait and see how that card was before splashing out, you never know.

The results...fantastc! No slow down in Metal Slug 7, everything runs super quick and I'm really surprised. I did not expect my larger card to out perform the smaller class 6 that I bought. I have no idea why this is, but I guess this whole thing is a bit of a lottery in finding a decent card.

Good luck!
