EA is releasing another SimCity game? Why? They should've learned something from the Facebook fiasco. I've never heard of a company so full of it.

What? This ain't 4chan? Sharrup.

BTW it's 20 posts already and no PC vs Mac flamewar?

Why should there be a flame war? Other than what happened in the shoutbox this morning, we're pretty civilized. (And no, I'm not going to tell you about it so don't ask.)

EA haven't pulled what they did on The Sims 3 have they? Instead of actually porting the game they rejigged the code and tried to make it run via the Mac version of WINE. It ran like crap but it ran.

First off, they are playing a shit failure of a game. That's a good way to own yourself right there. Secondly, it's an EA game, they can't develop or publish a game without controversy. Finally,if you are dumb enough to play games on a Mac, you get what you deserve.

I thought companies had, you know beta testers to prevent these things from happening, but who am I to make assumptions? :creep: If there was an Olympic event for lazy programming, they'd take the gold for sure

Update #1:
A Maxis spokesperson had this to say in regards to the launch day woes:
There are a small number of players who have encountered issues with SimCity for Mac. Our live team is working individually with our players to resolve their issues and get them into the game as quickly as possible.
After all the fuss on the release day and the mac as a gaming platform, I'd say that "a small number of players" probably means "everyone who actually bought this thing on a mac".:P
