retail dvds ate silver and dvdr are purple
once you burn data to them they change color (the laser burns the data into the disk)

anyway why do you want a certain color?

I had a pack of CD-R's from memorex that had 5 different color dics (black, red, blue, purple, yellow) the whole disk was colored including the back part

I've never come across them. I think that silver backed finishes are only available when the disc is pressed as opposed to burnt.

Recordable DVD-Rs are purple because of the dye used to be able to burn to it with a drive laser.

Retail DVDs are silver because they are pressed rather than burned.

As far as I'm aware, you won't find any writable DVDRs that have silver backs.
