Gaming Should I try and Which to start with?

I've been thinking I'd like to try either Harvest Moon or Rune Factory on the DS (I have tried both HMAWL games on the GCN and have watched my sis play Rune Factory Frontier on the Wii, though).

Now, I hate those two series. But should I?

Also, which title should I start of with?

Harvest Moon: Magical Melody is decent fun when you're bored. Also, call it a guilty pleasure of mine, but I really, really liked Back to Nature on PSX. Rune Factory wasn't bad, but to craft your own weapons, accessories, and make medicine, you need to upgrade your house. Upgrading costs, if I remember right, 200,000 Gold and 2,000 wood. That's a LOT. Pretty fun game though, after you get past that annoying part.

i havent really played harvest moon but from what i remember playing rune factory was fun i especially like the rpg element it had in it.

why not try HM Grand Bazaar and then try Rune Factory 3 when it comes out November?

Notice how I said DS but you're suggesting games not on the DS.
