I was speaking of Xbox 360 and not needing to explore the outdoors with birds and grass on your feet when you can do it all in 720p on Skyrim. :D
Don't know about PS3, but doesn't Skyrim on 360 run on 1080p natively?

Yes, yes you should, do it as soon as possible. Ideally, though, you should get into PC gaming (since on that your options and customizations become almost endless), but PS3 is still a good case scenario as well (more features and far more varied exclusives).

At the very least, stop paying for Xbox Live. If you're going to keep your 360, get rid of Live; you probably could have bought a 360 3 times over with the money you've spent on it. A better case scenario is getting both and using PSN for online, but I'd still say ideally that you should go PC.
If I can get decent money for selling my Macbook Pro 2010, I would jump to PC gaming in a heartbeat. Sadly, I'll only get about £400, which is half of what I paid for it. PC gaming > consoles, but I don't have enough dosh for it :(

I've tried BF3 and ME3 on PC and compared to the 360 version, WOW!

I am a PS3 owner myself, and even though PS3 does have a lot of potential, I still find Xbox 360 is superior.
But hey peoples minds can always change..

I think you should keep both.

The only reason why I sold off my 360 is because I couldn't maintain Live Gold.

360 has better multiplatform games (weather it be timed exclusives ie. dawnguard and just better quality) but weak exclusives (generic halo # fps game)
PS3 has better exclusives but typically weaker multiplatform games

PS3 has free online multiplayer. That's good enough for me, honestly.

As for which console has the better exclusives, it is entirely up to personal preference. I don't like Halo, but I loved Gears of War. I loved the Uncharted series, Killzone 2, and others but I didn't like Resistance. It's all up to you.

As for the mutliplatform titles, Xbox360 games are usually superior. But unless you're actually comparing them side by side, you'll hardly notice a difference. Heck, I played GTAIV on the PS3 for weeks and never even realised it was the inferior version.

As for multimedia playback, PS3 supports Blu-ray movie discs from the get go. Big plus there. Honestly though, with media streaming, this makes little difference but it's nice to have.

Now before anyone questions my ignorance, I've played my PS3 and my friends Xbox360 to death. I love both consoles, and they both have their strengths and weaknesses. I just prefer the PS3.

The conference may have been weak, but the 360 still has the better online service and conroller. Plus, SmartGlass has potential, so it's worth keeping the 360 around to see how that turns out.

If you have the cash, PC.

But I would stick with the 360 unless you really want the PS3 exclusives. It has a superior online system and a better controller than the PS3.

Thanks for the feedback peeps! Most of the comments are in favor of the 360 but the polls are close to a tie. I tried buying a 3 month PSN+ earlier but for some reason my details are invalid? Also, I just found out that I can't really play split-screen on Minecraft (just tried earlier), so I asked MS about it. Found out that I can get a refund for not being able to use it, which means that it can possibly go into Battlefield Premium instead, which means that I might as well keep 360 as my main console. :/

Seriously, keep both and save yourself the stress of deciding. You can worry about this decision when it comes time to choose between Xbox 720 and PS4. :)
