Homebrew Should I buy 2nd Switch as backup?

Hi everyone, I need your advise/opinion.

On my current Switch I use SX OS and I am thinking of buying 2nd one in case this one gets bricked or broken. As we know some reported Switchs that have been patched (RCM not working).

I am afraid of the following:

- My current Switch will never get bricked or broken and I wasted my money.

- Nintendo will release new version of Switch (like N3DS) which wil be exploited. In that case I will be owning two old versions.

So...Should I buy or not?

As a switch owner, I'm holding the phone on extra consoles. I'm hoping they come out with a new one by late 2019 around December.

i have one online switch and one offline switch both have sx os activated, as i got an sx os code free by a seller.
Then i backed up my license(sx os) for the online switch and formatted the sd card. My online switch is working like a champ.
And i love my hacked switch as well. So yeah there are benefits.
