Hello,

I'm trying to run Pokemon ShinyGold (Firered-Hack) on my Supercard mini SD, but I have problems with saving.
As with 64k .sav you get error messages while attempting to save, I created a 128k save file (using VBA).
Saving seem to work - but it never loads the correct savefile

Even the suggestet save 2 times doesn't work.

Firmware: 1.85
Patcher: 2.70
SanDisk micro SD 2GB (adapter to minisd)

Anyone has an idea?

Look for a tool called GBATA. Then patch your ShinyGold with every possible patching option there is in GBATA. It should work when you do that.

Before or after converting with supercard software?
Which options in supercard software?

GBata
Header Fix? SRam Patcher? - afair I already tested those
but what do all the other options belong to my problem?

Before. No cheats. Rest can be on.

You patch the rom with every option there is and you always select the new output file to patch. It will work.

What I did - step by step:

1. clean firered patched with ips to shinygold
2. gbata: SRam-Patch
3. gbata: fix header
Clockfix, Overdump fix, trimmer, intro remover are unneeded afaik
4. convert using sc 2.70: enable save, enable more saver, enable saver patch, enable real time saver

Result?
256k save (too large?)
saving seems to work but everytime I'll have to start a new game (not even error message)

Than same again without enable more saver and importing the vba save.
Resulting in a 128k save - saving works (L+R+A+Select), loading to (getting error about loading previous save).

Is this correct? Will it be possible to pass Elite4 with this?
