Hey I have several questions: :)

1. Is there any way to use Action Replay Codes in .cia installed games when you use Luma and A9LH?
2. I have hacked my Nintendo 2DS. I ordered a bigger SD Card now. How do I transfer everything? I mean the system, CFW, a9lh just everything? Do I have to redo all that stuff on my new sd card?
3. There are alot of homebrew applications. What do you guys use on your console which is useful?

Thanks. :)

Nobody answered in the noob paradise thread. :(

Action Replay codes on 3DS: https://gbatemp.net/threads/nitrohax-homebrew-action-replay-alternative-now-working-as-a-cia.438638/

If you want to switch SD cards, all you have to do is transfer the files. If you have an emunand, make a backup of it and create new on the second card, then restore the backup. (If you followed Plailect's guide, you don't have an emunand).

Edit2: Sorry, made a mistake. To use cheats on cia games, you need NTR custom firmware. It doesn't use action replay codes, although I don't think AR works with 3ds games.

Simply plug both sd cards into your computer. Then highlight all the files on the old sd card that has all your files, copy them, and paste them onto your new sd card.

For good apps you should just dig through the forum and install what you like. Start with Freeshop / Ciangel and maybe look into Romhacks through Hans, install something like bootanim9 or ctr9, install homebr3w and scroll through it and look if you find something interesting and so on. There are many good apps here by many skilled devs

The new sd card should be formatted as fat32. I recommend the following homebrew:
- JKSV
- chmm2
- custom badges give me that badge
- homebrew launcher
- check out some emulators
- star updater for"(luma3ds updater)
- freeshop
- encTitleKeyUpdater for freeshop
- ftpd
- fbi
If you play pokemon:
- pchex++
- poke homebrew bank
- ntr cfw

The formatting part applies mostly to sd cards over 32 gb. If you order one of these, then before transferring the files do the following:

1. Download emunand9 and place it in the luma/payloads folder of the OLD sd card under the name y_Emu9.bin.
2. Boot up your 3ds while holding y.
Press select, which will unmount your sd card. Now you can remove the old sd card from the 3ds.
3. Insert the new sd card and click select again.
4. Navigate to sd format options and choose format without emunand/rednand.
5. Your card is now formatted. Go ahead and transfer the files

Edit: Be careful not to choose format without emu/rednand while the old sd card is there, or you may lose all your files.

unless you use an emunand setup, which you shouldn't have after the a9hl guide, its as easy as copying everything to the new card.
just make sure not to put the new card in the 2ds before you put all the files on it

All sd cards must be formatted as fat32 for the 3ds to be able to work with it.

Pretty 100% sure they need to be fat32 to work with the 3ds if they're 32GB or bigger. But sure, go ahead and try.

They're FAT when they're 2GB / 4GB / 16GB. They're FAT32 when they're 32GB / 64GB / 128GB / 256GB.

@K3Nv2 Snow Day is pretty fun. My only bitch would be the camera controls, when you move around, say down, you have to move the right stick left or right to get camera to turn and get your view, other than that I like it so far.

From what people say pvp isn't even worth it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I just been playing offline, and they give you a few bots here n there on your team to help battle. I don't think it's as funny as the other games tho, more battle oriented than humor, which kinda sucks, but I'm still early in it
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, doesnt the game have a campaign mode?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea, and co-op, but you can also start a pvp session and battle just with friends. You get special skill cards (powers) the more you play. And higher value cards, but you can only enable so many cards at a time.

If you can find enough for it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Toilet paper is considered the money, you collect and buy stuff with TP, kinda funny. Graphics are def better than the other games tho, I think they used Unity 5 engine.

I bet most people at the time still watched it in black and white
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Many of them did before colour television was common.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Likely because black and white TV was in-expensive.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
It certainly wasn't inexpensive it cost the same as a new car back then
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
How much did a 1965 color TV cost?

For example, a 21-inch (diagonal) GE color television in 1965 had an advertised price of $499, which is equal to $4,724 in today's dollars, according to the federal government's inflation calculator.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@K3Nv2, take into consideration how economy was back then
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah that's why they listed inflation rates
