Hardware Sdxc problems

Hi.
I'm thinking about getting a big microSD card in preparation for CFW, which means that it has to be SDXC. But to make one compatible with your Switch, you have to update your system. I of course want to avoid doing that, so my question is how I should proceed? Is my best shot to acquire a SDXC as soon as possible and update to 5.0.1? Or should I use another small microSD (8GB/ 16GB) card which I own to get CFW and then swap the SD cards?

You can just format the large card to fat32 using guiformat. The default windows formatter won't do fat32, so you need guiformat.
