I'm not too sure if the title makes sense, so I'll explain.
PokeClassic network requires you to change your DS DNS, and then you can trade Pokémon through the network, and also receive Mystery Gift Pokémon. I was wondering if it is possible to self host that and make your own network!

EDIT:
My latest post covers the method I have found, it does not create a Wi-Fi signal, rather a Local Wireless Distribution ROM :)

Thanks, was wondering if anyone could guide me through it
If you take some time to Google, I'm sure you can find ample guides online regarding how to compile a program from Github.

Were you going to ask someone to "guide you through" self-hosting it, too?

Anyway, I think you'll also find there's a Discord link at https://pkmnclassic.net/.

Possibly, I know a little bit. Isn't that what forums are for? Asking for help?

Yes, and I pointed out the obvious Github and Discord links on the web page. You may consider yourself "helped".

Why not see what you can accomplish on your own before asking someone to "guide you through"?

Okay! The Discord people were less than helpful, so I was on my own.
I recently came across a Pokémon Gen IV Mystery Gift Patcher, that does what I was looking for!

The application for Windows requires a "NTR-AARE-USA - GameStop Deoxys" Local Wireless Distribution ROM, which it will patch with any Gen IV .PCD WonderCard, which can be found here: https://projectpokemon.org/home/files/category/16-english/

.wc4 WonderCards can be downloaded here: https://github.com/projectpokemon/EventsGallery/tree/master/Released/Gen 4/Wondercards/ENG

...and can be converted to .PCD using this tool: https://github.com/projectpokemon/PCDWC4Converter

In the app, you can configure headers, descriptions, region, game version that can receive, and the distribution date, so you don't have to change your DS clock.

Once you have patched your ROM, you can export it and run it on a second DS to broadcast a Local Wireless Signal, even Pokémon that were distributed via Wi-Fi work, and remain legal.

You can download the Pokémon Distribution Patcher tool here: https://digiex.net/threads/pokemon-wcd-patcher-1-0-0.16375/

Thank you to the wonderful people at Digiex (@AlamosIT) and ProjectPokémon.

Tool by King Empoleon. Enjoy!
