Hacking SDHC Class (speed) and game performance

Ok, most people know that sdhc cards have "classes", wich determines their speed (bigger class is better)

Class 2: 2Mb/s
Class 4: 4Mb/s
Class 6: 6Mb/s

the question is until where the card class can improve the performance? A class 4 class extremely worse or marginally different than a class 6 on pratical use?

I used a class 2 card (until it broke

) I didn't notice any difference in performance on my DS but files wrote slower on the computer than my higher class cards.

The transfer rates to the card from your computer is all you'll notice a difference with.

it doesn't really matter for saving and so on. I've got a class 6 and a class 4 card, and they both save about as fast. With the class 6, transferring from my computer goes a lot faster, but that's the only difference.
