Hacking SD card

ok i have a kodac 8gb sd card, i think i remember reading somewhere that wii can only handle 2gb cards at max. is there any way i can get this card to work. i know it doesnt work i have tried it multiple times. the only other card i have is a 64mb and it is way to small thanks guys.

firmware 4.0 supports sdhc cards up to 32GB
but 4.0 comes with homebrew limitations, unless you do a custom update

- wii system menu 4 supports sdhc

The new update for the wii is 4.0 disables installing homebrew channel and many other things but they added sdhc support up to 32 gb.Unless u have it already installed

hey guys sorry. i did update to 4.0 but i did it through Wank's thing i dont know if that changes any thing, i just didnt wanna lose the wad manager. so i guess thats a custum way to update? so it will work now?
