If it's made in Hong Kong, it probably says 8GB but it is really 8MB

did anyone ever buy 1 of those shitty mp3player from hongkong claiming to be 2-4-8gb then you'd get it and format the device because it crashed whilst uploading songs then you find out its only 512MB!!!

fake memory

maybe this is similar

hey, the famous waninkoko is there! thanks a lot for your great work!
what will be the next release?

so, there are no treads about a non-HC SD of 8go on the web...

I wouldn't trust a 4GB non SDHC card. SD cards are only specified up to 2 GB, and SDHC cards aren't that expensive.

Well it has 8GB and it has been working for a year now. I assumed it was SD since there is no SDHC label on it. But I'll guess its a SDHC then. Im just glad it works in HBC and with emus

To test if it is a fake card you only need to fill the card with big files and copy them back to your pc. Don't forget to backup before you test.

You've had it for a year and only now tried it in the Wii?..

HBC (+emus) just recently got support for SDHC.
Try to use it in the standard Wii data management mode..

well, not everyone have had a wii since the launch day. got mine a week ago

Oh well, ok then..

If you'd try it in the data management screen (channels/saves) you'll see it doesnt work.
It's supposed to work though in HBC.

I dont doubt that, I was wrong thats all :/
